Today we said our final farewell to Whittle resident Muriel Sharples (1935-2023). Muriel died at her home last month at the age of 88 and was the widow of Jack Sharples who died in 2017, also at the age of 88. Family and friends gathered for the funeral on a beautiful sunny autumn morning at St Jamesí Church, Brindle and then to St Barnabas Heapey for burial.
