It was a very wild night of wind and rain. There was no way I could move in these conditions so I had to wait. By late afternoon I thought the weather had improved slightly and the rain stopped briefly. I set off to walk back to the campsite to get more water and the rain began. The wind was so fierce the rain hurt my face as I was battered all the way back to the tent. I had to stay put the whole day and night.
