As I had a train to catch I started to
get ready as soon as I got up. It was still dark and frosty when I
set off at 6:50am but I didn’t expect any problems from the frost as
I was much lower than the rest of my walk. How wrong I was. I joined
the main path off Yoke towards the Garburn Pass track. |

Looking back to Froswick, Ill Bell and Yoke. |
|

A brief spot of sunshine. |
It had been upgraded
in recent years with a raised stoned path and ditches either side.
Unfortunately the stoned area was covered in ice so I had to walk on
the grass at the edge. At the Garburn Pass I had to stop and put the
ice studs on my boots as there was no grass to escape to there. |
