Approaching Seathwaite from the
river. |
I was in plenty of
time for the bus but had a choice of two. I’d planned to buy a £9
explorer ticket which would get me to Lancaster and the train. But I
could go by any route I wanted, so I decided to catch the first bus
which was the Honister Rambler. It took my via Buttermere and
Crummock Water and was a very picturesque ride. Surprisingly I was
the only one on the bus, except for the driver of course. In Keswick
I had a bit of time for a look around and enjoying the bit of sun
that had started to come out. The 555 bus to Lancaster took over 2
hours then I had another wait at Lancaster railway Station but that
was quite pleasant as I sat on my pack in the sun reading my book. |
