There was much less wind through the
night but the rain continued without a break. When I peered out of
the tent through the first light gloom I could see the mist rushing
bye at speed in the distance so I must assume I've found a very
sheltered spot for the tent. I hate packing wet stuff up in the rain
and the best I could hope for is to find a route part way down the
mountain to be in striking distance of a bus stop. I decided to stay
put and hope for an improvement in the weather and move on in the
dry if it did. At noon the rain was very light so I went out for a
wander in the mist to collect water. It turned out I was in an
interesting area not far from the summit with a few small tarns
scattered about. It must be quite picturesque in good weather.
